Sticky, sweet and spicy Asian Hot Wings cooked to juicy perfection in a pressure cooker, then crisped up under a broiler or the grill - SO GOOD
Ingredients
Marinade:
½ cup Sriracha sauce
½ cup Soy sauce
2 tsp Sesame oil
3 tbsp Honey
2cloves garlic finely chopped
2 tsp fresh ginger finely chopped
2 Spring onions finely chopped
2 tsp cornflour
½ cup lime juice
2.5 lb Chicken wings
To serve
Sesame seeds, and a sprinkle of chopped spring onions.
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade apart from the cornflour together - Save a couple of spoons of the spring onions for garnishing
Pop chicken wings in a large bowl
Pour half of the marinade over the top
Leave in the fridge for 2 hours or over night
Once marinaded pour into the pressure cooker
Add ¼ cup of water and set to the soup function for 10 minutes
Carefully release pressure before opening lid
Take wings out using a tong and place on a baking tray lined with foil
Pour the remaining marinade over the top making sure they are all covered
Place tray under a hot grill or broiler and cook for another 10 – 15 minutes turning a few times
This crisps up the wings and makes the sauce really sticky
Finish by sprinkling on some sesame seeds and the leftover spring onions
Enjoy!
Notes
If you don't have a pressure cooker you can still make these nice and juicy. The pressure cooker helps cut the time in half. Follow the recipe and place wings into a saucepan with 3/4 cup water, place a lid on pan and gently simmer for 20 minutes. Give it a stir every now and then gently to make sure they don't stick to the bottom.
