Homemade Granola

Serves: 5 cups

Homemade granola is so easy to make and you can decide what you want to put in it, whatever your favorite ingredients are. Use gluten free oats if you cannot eat gluten.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Oats

  • 1 cup silvered almonds

  • 2 – 3 tbsp oil

  • pinch salt

  • ½ cup raisins

  • ½ cup coconut

  • 1/2 cup honey or agave

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven on low gas 3/ 170c / 320f

  2. Put the oats, almonds, coconut and pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl

  3. Stir together well

  4. Drizzle the honey and oil over the top

  5. Give a good mix so that it all starts clumping together and everything is coated

  6. Spread mixture out on a couple of baking trays and pop into the oven for 30- 40 minutes

  7. Turn the mixture a couple of times while it’s baking to make sure everything get’s evenly baked

  8. It will be a lovely golden and crisp color when cooked. Take out and leave to cool. Stir raisins in and keep in an air tight container for a couple of weeks :)

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month
