Fancy something different for breakfast, this recipe is quick, easy, healthy and great for kids school day breakfasts. Caramelized apples, cream cheese on toast with a drizzle of Rowse's apple honey! Yum.

Ingredients

  • 2 Apples

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp Rowse Apple Honey

  • 2 chunky slices wholemeal bread

  • 50g (approx) cream cheese

  • Knob of butter

Instructions

  1. I like to keep the skin of the apple on for this recipe.

  2. Remove the core and cut the apple into thin slices

  3. Arrange apples on a baking tray (I normally cover the tray with foil to help save washing up) Sprinkle a tiny pinch of cinnamon over the top

  4. and drizzle the apple honey over the top

  5. Place under a hot grill for 5 –6 minutes or until the apples have softened and caramelized

  6. Giving them a turn half way through

  7. While the apples are grilling, pop your toast in the toaster

  8. Spread a little butter and a good layer of cream cheese over the toast

  9. Once the apples are done place them straight on top of the cream cheese and serve up

  10. If you like it more sweet you can always add more apple honey
